Posted by on October - 10 - 2014

Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Learning Disabilities Association in cooperation with Lake Bluff School District 65 and Lake Forest School District 67 sponsored this event to provide parents and families with a perspective on how to have meaningful involvement in the IEP meeting and a good collaborative perspective on the process.

She has held the parent mentor position for the past nine years, during which she has conducted workshops for a broad spectrum of parent, teacher, staff and administrative groups on collaborative problem solving and effective communication strategies in the IEP process. She also frequently presents on parent leadership in education and provides individual consultative services to both parents and staff. Mrs. Hans is the parent of four children, one whom is still in school with an IEP.
